Why Replying to Emails After Making an Enquiry Is So Important

It may seem like a very odd blog to write but it is a very important point to get across. We get enquiries everyday from people looking for website work which is brilliant and we are always pleased to help; BUT one important point to highlight is always reply to our response email whether you are moving ahead or not or have no update.

All it takes is a couple of seconds to communicate back if our estimate isn’t within budget or the project has been put on hold, either way just let us know. The frustrating part for us is when we send 2 or 3 follow up emails and then give the company a call and they say “ah yes we did get your email but the project has been put on hold”.

A quick email back to us will also benefit you as if we get no reply, we'll keep emailing and trying to call, when a quick email saves all of these follow ups in the first place. It takes a few seconds to save everyone the time and bother.

Equally if you have no further update, also communicate this, as knowing what stage each upcoming project is at is key to our scheduling.

From your point of view, not replying seriously hurts your credibility with us moving forward. If you contact us with another enquiry, then we most likely won't hold your query in high regard as we know that you most likely will go quiet once again.

Most of all, its just plain rude not replying and keeping all parties updated with what is going on!

So the moral of the story is, if you make an enquiry to a company, always let them know yes, no or maybe and don’t leave them in the lurch. A short brief email with an update saves all involved a lot of time.
