Avoiding Extra Fees with PayPal Friends & Family

When sending payments through PayPal, you may have noticed there are two different options: Goods & Services and Friends & Family. By default, many people choose Goods & Services, which is designed for buying items online. However, this option charges additional seller fees that reduce the amount we actually receive.

To make sure your full payment comes through without PayPal deducting extra fees, please use the Friends & Family option when sending money. This ensures your payment reaches us in full.

Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Log In to PayPal

Open paypal.com or the PayPal app and sign in with your email and password.

Step 2: Select "Send & Request"

From your dashboard, click on the Send & Request button.

Step 3: Enter Our Email Address

Type in our PayPal email address (we'll provide this to you directly) to send the payment.

Step 4: Enter the Amount

Enter the agreed payment amount. You should ensure that the money we receive is exactly what is on the invoice.

Step 5: Choose Friends & Family

Before confirming, PayPal will ask what the payment is for.

• Select Friends & Family (sometimes shown as Send to Someone You Trust).
• Avoid choosing Goods & Services, as that option deducts fees from your payment.

Step 6: Confirm and Send

Review the details (including the Payment Type), then click Send Payment Now. That's it - your payment will arrive with no additional deductions.

Sending payments this way ensures we receive the full amount on the invoice and therefore can schedule in the work accordingly. Otherwise, the invoice won't be balanced and we will require an additional payment to be made, as well as delaying the start of development.
