OpenCart Customer Review Email

Posted by Paul on September 6, 2013

Selling online is all about trust. If you can increase the trust your users have if your site, your company and your products, you will increase your sales in turn. There are many ways to do this but customer product reviews are one of the most effective.

Of course OpenCart has customer reviews built-in, but what it doesn't do by default is contact customers after a sale by email asking for a review. Without this, it's unlikely that a customer would be remember to or be motivated to go back to your website, find the product and write a review.

So we'd recommend to our customers that most OpenCart shops run an extension like "After Purchase Review Invitation". This will email customers a set number of days after their purchase asking for a review. eBay and Amazon do this and usually an email reminder is all that's needed.

As always, let us know your thoughts and how you get on in the comments!
