PayPal Standard and Credit/Debit Cards

You can use PayPal Standard to take payments by credit card, but do your customers know this? Displaying PayPal as your only payment method can be dangerous because a lot of potential customers will think that they have to go through a lengthy sign-up process to get a PayPal account before they can pay on your site and they may just go elsewhere.

Until it's common knowledge that you don't need a PayPal account to pay by credit or debit card through PayPal, I'd recommend letting your customers know this at the checkout, a bit like this:
