Products Reports within OpenCart

It is imperative that you know which products are being regularly viewed and thus being converted into sales. Now many people use Google Analytics to gather this information (which I must reaffirm should be the first port of call) but you can also use OpenCart. I am always surprised how many people are not aware that OpenCart stores information on page views. If you are looking to quickly view how many people have viewed or purchased a product this can save you a lot of time sifting through Google Analytics.

This is how you view it:

1) On the Dashboard you click Reports and this will take you straight to the main Reports page.

2) On this page you will notice a number of options including Sales Reports, Products Purchased and the Products Viewed.

3) From this report you can gather valuable information on which products are getting the best viewing traction and which ones are lagging behind.

4) You can also use this information to see if the number of pages viewed corresponds with the products bought.
