The Pros and Cons of PayPal

Pros Cons
People with funds in their PayPal accounts may prefer to use these up rather than use a credit card.
Some online shoppers realise that PayPal is relatively easy to set up and doesn't require a merchant bank account and therefore perceive it as amateurish, more so in the UK than the US.
Some online shoppers see money in the PayPal account a bit like a gift voucher waiting to be spent as opposed to a credit card that should avoid spending if possible.
The user is taken away from the online shop on to the PayPal website.
Some customers are reassured by the security PayPal provides. PayPal have been known to freeze user accounts without warning.
If a user has a PayPal account it's likely that they have bought things online before and are likely to buy online again.
When used with other payment options, PayPal is just another option that may be more convenient.
Tends to be popular and trusted in the US.
No subscription fees on the Standard account.
Good for international payments.
