We Have Updated Our EU VAT Extension
VAT and especially VAT not being applied in Europe from the UK is a hot topic at the moment. We have already written a blog on this as we have had a lot of clients asking us questions around this subject.
We built and updated the EU VAT Extension as it automatically exempts EU customers from VAT if they have a valid VAT number. It adds an extra VAT number field to customer account details and checks if it is valid, no reliance on special customer groups or custom fields. Providing a VAT number is entirely optional and if the customer doesn't provide one, the checkout process works as normal with VAT applied.
Please note this extension is only compatible with the most recent OpenCart versions 3.0.2.0, 3.0.3.2, 3.0.3.3, 3.0.3.5 and 3.0.3.6. If you would like us to make the extension compatible with a lower OpenCart version then we can estimate on this separately for you.
