Aquafayre Pool & Leisure Case Study
Antropy was tasked with rebuilding the aquafayre.co.uk website using OpenCart 3.0.3.8 and upgrading the PHP version.
We set up a development environment on an Antropy server, based on a current copy of the aquafayre.co.uk website. All development work took place here and was transferred to the live website after client testing.
To enhance the website's design, we installed the Antropy Electron Theme and made customisations to replicate the colour scheme from the previous live site. We also placed a link to the Opening Hours information page between the search bar and the main menu navigation bar and moved the store's phone number from the top navigation to below the logo.
We installed and configured several extensions including Antropy Advanced Captcha, Antropy Subcategory Images, Antropy Log Trimmer, and Flexible Top Menu Links.
We enabled and configured the following built-in OpenCart extensions:
SagePay Server (Previously used SagePay V3)
Free Shipping
Weight-Based Shipping
Pickup from Store
Configuration of the above extensions matched that of the current website as closely as possible, accounting for differences between the OpenCart 1 and OpenCart 3 versions of these extensions.
For SEO, We turned on SEO-friendly URLs and added 301 redirects from the old links to the equivalent page on the new website wherever possible. We also ensured that the robots.txt was configured and enabled whilst also configuring OpenCart's built-in Google Sitemap extension to automatically regenerate the sitemap file every night.
