Cold Spring Records had been using two separate websites, a label site and a store site, in order to provide their customers with a comprehensive range of products. However, the two websites presented a challenge in terms of SEO and customers had to navigate between the two, making the user experience less than ideal.

In order to solve the problem, the client contacted us to develop an OpenCart store that would merge the two existing websites while providing an improved user experience. Our objective was to rebuild the Cold Spring Records website on OpenCart version 3.0.3.6, keeping the URL structure of the current websites where possible for SEO reasons.

We set up a development environment on an Antropy server and used the iStore Theme for the website design, customising the colour scheme to match the client’s current website. We also added logos supplied by the client. All the text content, images, videos and other content were provided by the client.

We installed the OpenCart Twitter Feeds Extension and the Event Calendar Extension, both of which were free extensions, and added icons at the bottom of the page to provide customers with payment.
