How we price our services

We'll provide a quick ball-park estimate on your project - usually a price range such as:

1. £50 to £100
2. £100 to £500
3. £500 to £1,000
4. £1,000 to £5,000
5. £5,000 to £10,000
6. £10,000 to £20,000
7. £20,000+

This will quickly give you an idea of cost so you know if the project is viable.

We will attempt to give an accurate indication of likely cost based on many years of experience of similar projects but will need to confirm with a Detailed Quote if you would like to go ahead.

We will produce a detailed project specification listing the project deliverables and timeframe.

Usually free for simple OpenCart sites but for more complex OpenCart sites with lots of custom work or for different types of projects, they're usually £300 for up to 10h of research and documentation.

The cost of the project is guaranteed once the deposit has been paid and will not increase if the deliverables remain the same.

One of our experienced developers will go through our own technical checklist and review various aspects of your website from theme quality to the error logs.

Further areas we investigate within the audit include the versions of software that are being run, modifications to the core OpenCart files, check your redirects for SEO problems & the theme that is in use and its code quality, both from a back-end and front-end perspective.

If you have sub-stores, this may cost extra.

Cost depends on the complexity of design and amount of time you want us to spend on it - as with anything, more time gives a better result.

We'll build designs supplied to us.

Ideally we'll be provided designs for all major templates in desktop, tablet and mobile versions but we can interpret some of these if required.

Cost depends on how different the designs are to the default OpenCart theme.

Cost depends on the size of the version jump, amount of customisation and theme used.

Going from 2.0.3.1 to 2.0.3.2 will be easy and cheap.

Going from 1.5.x to 3.x with a custom theme and extensions will usually require a full redesign and build.

Websites that aren't mobile friendly may not show in Google searches on mobiles which is now over 50% of users. So it is essential that all websites are mobile friendly.

Cost depends a lot on the complexity of the website and the design of the mobile version.

For a simple website where the goal is just usability on a mobile device and passing Google's Mobile Friendly test, cost will be low.

For a more complex website where we need to produce designs for the mobile experience, cost will be higher.

Most extensions are £50 but some extensions such as one-page checkouts and blogs may require custom styling to match your theme so may take longer.

We'll install and setup extensions correctly for you.

You must buy the extension and send it to us.

Cost is entirely dependent on complexity.

If your requirement doesn't require an admin interface and is simple it will be toward the lower end of costs.

If you need an extension that is complex, changes how OpenCart functions significantly and is available for multiple versions of OpenCart, costs will increase toward the higher end.

In very rare cases we may consider reducing the cost if we are allowed to sell the extension in the marketplace but this is relatively uncommon.

In all other cases you will own the rights to the extension and would be able to sell it should you wish.

Cost will depend on the complexity of the payment gateway provider, level of support and quality of their documentation.

More complex extensions such as ones that take partial or recurring payments are likely to be towards the upper end of the price range.

If you have a list of things you'd like fixed or updated on your website, send it over to us and we'll work on it on an hourly basis.

We'll provide an estimate in advance of how long we think it will take and keep you updated if we think it's going to take longer then expected.

We provide detailed timesheets every week listing what we did, who did it, and how long it took.

When working this way, we are charging for time spent, not tasks completed, so if there is an issue with an item that requires further time, that time is also chargeable.
