SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

"Build it and they will come!" Sadly not.

Your website could be a delight to the eyes, with beautiful crisp photography, informative and well-written text describing the products or services of a fantastic business but it would still be of no use without visitors.

Actively seeking those visitors and converting them in to customers is imperative but unfortunately it's a step most businesses leave out after having their website built.

We can get you more visitors and this is how:

Getting to the Top of Google

With around 85% of searches being perfomed on Google, it's the first place to begin.

Google decides which websites to show for any given search based on two main factors:

  1. How relevant is this website to this user's search?

  2. How "good" is this website?

The first of these is assessed based on the appearance of the words in the user's search on the website. Careful copy-writing is essential for this reason.

The second requires a definition of the word "good" in this context. The assumption underlying Google's multi-billion dollar success is simply this: "if lots of good websites link to this website then it must also be good". And the more that link to it the better. Luckily there are many ways to obtain "inbound" links from reputable websites and we can help with this.

However, a close look at the results page of any given Google search will reveal two more very important facts:

  1. Often the first 3 results are "Ads" meaning that it will be impossible for you to appear here unless you are running a Google AdWords campaign. This is something we can set up and mange for you.

  2. If your search included a location (such as "web design in Redhill") Google may decide that map results will take up the next 6 or so places. If you haven't added your business to Google Maps, you will not appear in these either. We will be happy to set this up for you.
